Soluna Is Building the Investor Infrastructure Behind Its AI Ambitions (Part 8 of 8 – Part II)
The closing section of @jbelizaireCEO McNallie Money interview moved from wind farms and data centers to a less visible part of Soluna’s expansion: the infrastructure needed to attract institutional capital.
Soluna is preparing its first formal earnings call, upgrading its investor-relations platform and putting more of its senior leadership in front of investors. The changes come as the company advances AI projects that will require far more capital and scrutiny than its earlier Bitcoin-hosting developments.
Belizaire said one reaction kept surfacing during recent investor meetings:
“How do we not know about you guys?”
The question helps explain the gap between Soluna’s progress and its visibility. The company has built an active following among retail investors and mining specialists. Many institutions rely instead on earnings-call transcripts, research platforms, roadshows and scheduled meetings with management.
Soluna’s recent non-deal roadshow was designed to address that problem before more capital is needed. Management met investors without tying the discussions to an immediate financing, giving them time to explain how Briscoe, Bitcoin hosting, Kati 2, Dorothy 3 and the wider power pipeline fit together.
Belizaire summarized the message simply: “Here’s who we are. When we do raise money, we’ll give you a call.”
The timing matters. Soluna’s proposed AI campuses could require investment measured in hundreds of millions of dollars. Relationships with infrastructure funds, private-credit providers and institutional equity investors are easier to build before financing becomes urgent.
The first earnings call creates another channel for that work.
“We’re actually going to have our first earnings call,” Belizaire said.
Until now, Soluna has communicated mainly through press releases, monthly updates, presentations, interviews and social media. A formal call gives investors a recurring place to hear management discuss results, capital allocation and project execution, with a public transcript afterward.
Belizaire said the call should connect the three parts of Soluna’s developing model: power generation, Bitcoin hosting and future AI infrastructure. Briscoe controls energy. Hosting monetizes flexible power today. AI development could add longer-duration contracted revenue on top of the same platform.
The presentation is also expected to include more than the CEO. Belizaire said he hopes Chief Financial Officer Michael Picchi and Chief Development Officer Ryan Carver will participate.
Picchi can address the balance sheet, Briscoe’s financial integration and project financing. Carver can explain design, procurement, construction planning and the organization required to deliver multiple AI campuses. Their participation would give investors direct access to the executives responsible for finance and execution.
@mikealfred's interest shows how the story can change once an investor examines the full platform. Belizaire said Alfred questioned management about accounting, tenant timing and Soluna’s ability to build a major AI campus. Metrobloks and the expanding internal team were central to the answer.
According to Belizaire, Alfred later began discussing Soluna positively and building a position. That is not a project milestone, but it shows how perception can shift once an experienced investor understands the connection between Soluna’s power assets and AI strategy.
Management has also indicated that the next quarterly update may reveal further movement across the pipeline.
“There’s been material improvement, movement, maturing of the assets,” Belizaire said.
Soluna still has to convert that progress into definitive leases, financing and construction. Better investor relations cannot replace execution. It can, however, widen the pool of investors capable of funding it.
